Kolskaya NPP: technical support mission of GAO NPP was carried out at nuclear power plant16.12.2009Public Information Center of Kolskaya Nuclear Power Plant Within period since 14 till 17 December, 2009, at Kolskaya NPP technical support mission of Moscow Center of Global Association of organizations operating nuclear power plants (GAO NPP) was carried out. It was organized in the form of training seminar for administrators and specialists of the plant on topic «Supervision of works performance». The training was carried out by Advisor of Moscow center of GAO NPP Andrey Nosov and specially invited Advisor of Paris center of GAO NPP Alen Uchet (some time ago specialist of French energy concern Electricite de France). According to the French representative, the issues concerning organization of works performance supervision at nuclear power plant, today are common for all NPPs of the world. «Originally, training course on topic «Supervision of works performance» was composed in Paris center of GAO, – told Alen Uchet, – We elaborated a number of recommendations the main point of which is that administrator of an enterprise is obliged to supervise work execution. Thus, he personally and his subordinates make significant joint contribution into the tasks of improvement of plant safety due to prevention of possible mistakes of the staff». According to representatives of GAO NPP, technical support mission performed at Kolskaya NPP will help Russian specialists to obtain new knowledge and apply it in practice, which will improve staff work system and have positive influence on general level of nuclear power plant safety.
Kolskaya NPP is branch of JSC «Concern Rosenergoatom», 100% shares of which belong to JSC «Atomenegroprom». The plant is located 200 km to the south from Murmansk on the bank of lake Imandra. Startup of power unit No.1 of Kolskaya NPP took place in 1973. At present, 4 power units with VVER type reactors are in operation with output of 440 MW each. Kolskaya NPP is supplier of electric power for Murmansk region and Karelia. |
